Because all AT Protocol records live in the user's PDS in a public, known format and every lexicon is public, third parties can build tools that interoperate with existing apps in ways their authors never designed — by reading and emitting the same records. Examples from the talk: replacement Whitewind UI, cross-platform Standard Site search, tools processing Tangled repos/issues and Grain photos with the same libraries used for Bluesky posts.
