Guiney's organizational takeaway: observability is a developers' problem and cannot be delegated to an ops team. With 20 developers and four ops engineers, the ops team can't scale instrumentation. Each new feature should include: how it is monitored in production, how errors and warning logs are scanned regularly, and what alarms need to be built on top. Frameworks and libraries should help by shipping better default observability.
