Managed cloud platform similar to Heroku but cheaper. Wrona's team previously ran their Rails app on Render with Docker builds (advertised as cached but still slow) and managed Postgres/Redis dynos. Moving to a single Hetzner node deployed with Hatchbox replaced Render and dramatically cut cost — a comparable Render configuration (14 small dynos + a 2-vCPU worker) was priced around $650/month versus ~$77/month on Hetzner.
