Don't try to eradicate alive mutations on a whole legacy codebase. Start tomorrow by running Mutant in incremental mode on the subjects touched in the current PR. Developer attention is scoped to the current task anyway; incremental mode is fast enough for CI and lets you pay down mutation debt naturally as code is touched over ~12 months.
