Takeaway from Amelia Walter-Dzikowska's talk. Real project sentences full of abbreviations (BAU, POC, ETA, RCA, ASAP, EOD) are opaque to anyone who hasn't internalized the project's private vocabulary, and some abbreviations (POC = proof of concept / person of color / person of contact) require Googling to disambiguate. Rule of thumb: keep abbreviations to one or two clear ones per message.
